Melissa Patton is the South Carolina Mom who created Bee-Tees®, t-shirts that teach. She brought Bee-Tees® from concept to national distribution in less than two years! Using her natural sales ability, a lot of hard work and little luck she was able to negotiate a licensing opportunity that produced a massive display of apparel and stationary featuring her trademarked bee in all 592 national locations of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®.
She started Bee-Tees® in 2009 as a way to begin conversations with her then 2-year-old daughter Lena about kindness, honesty and friendliness. Bee-Tees® was a perfect way to have a teachable moment in the morning about the meaning of her Bee-Tee, and remind her daughter throughout the day of the conversation with her Mom about “beeing kind” to her friends. The concept caught on and before long Bee-Tees was on sale in boutiques and stores around the Southeast before landing in a massive display in Cracker Barrel.
Melissa has been featured on NBC, CBS, NPR, BlogTalkRadio, numerous regional newspapers and magazines and dozens of blogs including Babble.com.
Melissa is known to many as Queen Bee. She inspires women through her message, what YOU believe YOU can achieve! She shares loads of real-world stories and personal experiences that empower women and help them achieve their American Dream.
